Early July already promised to be a nerve-racking time for Thunder fans. But as free agency ticks closer, things just keep getting more interesting.

ESPN's Brian Windhorst reported late Thursday night that the Thunder has been "making calls" around the league in an attempt to lay the groundwork for a potential salary dump in an effort to pursue Hawks unrestricted free agent center Al Horford.

This report came just hours before the Thunder will meet in Oklahoma City with Kevin Durant, who is known to be fond of Horford's game.
